At a recent press conference, Matt Wilson, Gulf South Conference commissioner, spoke on the importance of this move. “It’s a perfect collaboration and perfect partnership. The investment that the institution is making from the amount of personnel, staff and resources they provide student-athletes to have incredible academic athletic success,” said Wilson. “From the investment being put into the student housing, libraries and campus athletic facilities shows a clear vision of who Trevecca wants to be. Danny Leavy, head coach, is confident in the skillset found in this year’s roster and has high hopes to succeed in the postseason as well as in conference match-ups. “The team I have this year is strong enough to compete with any other team in our conference. That’s the exciting thing,” Leavy said. Leavy’s team mentality is important to those who are a part of the program, and that leadership standard is set by Zachary Polk, the team’s captain. Polk has been the captain for two years and is a tremendous leader among his peers, according to Leavy. Polk leads his team through being ...

She is glad to be back running again in just a year after needing physical therapy to stand and walk. “It honestly feels unreal. I’ve had a lot of healing from the hospital to going back home. It’s a very unreal experience,” said Rosencrants. Austin Selby, head coach of men’s and women’s cross country, is also very glad that Rosencrants is back in competition. “It’s huge to have her back. I just think back to this time last year after the wreck. We didn’t know whether we would race or not. To have her practicing and competing is great,...
