Boonearoo, Trevecca’s free music festival, returns for its 13th year, to be held on April 13 in the quad.
This year’s lineup features over 250 million streams and will be headlined by pop country artist Chase Wright. Other artists include Julia DiGrazia, Moose Miller, Keep Warm, Tyler Maddux and more.
“Our goal is to bring the Nashville community together and showcase high-caliber artists for free, which is something college students in this city are looking for,” said Adam Newman, event coordinator in a press release. “Whether you’re a student in Nashville or just looking for a fun Saturday with your family, we guarantee an unforgettable night filled with music, food, and fun.”
The event will start at 2:30 p.m. There will be a wide variety of food trucks serving tacos, donuts, acai bowls and more. As well as various activities such as a painting station and a giveaway.
Newman said that this year is going to be different than years in the past. He said that it is going to be the first time since COVID they will have a full stage and production. He knows that there are fewer artists than in past years.
“I felt like they [Trevecca] spent a bunch of money to get as many artists as possible, just to be able to fill up time without really caring about how well-known the artists were, and this year I prioritize getting someone who is actually well-known,” said Newman.
