The fall sports season is wrapping up, and several Trevecca athletes had record years.

Alex Hamm, a sophomore golfer, shot one of the three lowest rounds in Trevecca history at a 66.
“When I shot that, I was locked in, so I didn’t even know what I was at, but after that, I felt a huge sense of relief,” said Hamm.
Hamm finds importance in staying mentally focused in between swings to have performances like that.
“I just try to stay in the present. Our coach always tells us to stay in the present and focus on one shot at a time. Sometimes you have to let your mind wander between swings because if you think about what you’re doing too long, you’ll get mentally tired,” said Hamm.
Hamm values his improvement as a golfer under his head coach.
“He’s really helped us mentally. He’s helped me a lot with course management, which is something I struggled with. Knowing what shot to hit at what time. He’s really helped me to lower my scores,” said Hamm.

Katelyn Keogh, junior women’s soccer player, had a great season with six goals and one assist. This is also Keogh’s most games started in a season at Trevecca.
Keogh attributes the extra work she puts into the offensive presence she brings on the field.
“Being a forward, my job is to score goals and for that, I need to get shots off. So each season I try to create opportunities for myself where I can get shots off. Sometimes I will do extra shooting sessions with my brother to build my confidence for games,” said Keogh.
Keogh has exceeded expectations for herself so far after a nine-month recovery process from two surgeries she had at the end of her freshman season.
“I didn’t realize how much these injuries were going to affect me, and so this season, I just wanted to get back to my old self and score some goals. I’m happy with myself for scoring six goals this season and having a positive impact on games to help my team,” said Keogh.
Keogh’s teammates have been a huge part of her successful season.
“My teammates have been a huge help this season. I honestly don’t know what I would do without them. They are so encouraging and continue to support me each training and game. They were so supportive after my surgeries and were always there for me. I just love to get the opportunity to play with them every day,” said Keogh.

Marlon Grossmann, senior men’s soccer player, has had a career year as well with nine goals and three assists. In October, Grossmann was also named Great Midwest Offensive Athlete of the Week.
Grossmann believes in his confidence, and that is a key part of his offensive game.
“As a forward, being confident and trusting in your own abilities to make the difference is key. In the past, this was something I struggled with a lot. This year, I think I made a huge step in the right direction in terms of gaining this kind of confidence, but I think there is still a lot more to come,” said Grossmann.
Grossmann has exceeded many and his own expectations for the year.
“Before the season started, I came up with a few goals, which not only contained numerical things like goals, assists and awards, but also what kind of player and teammate I want to be on and off the field. I’m happy that I already exceeded my goals and assists from last year as well as winning a few awards,” said Grossmann.
Grossmann also had a goal to become a more present leader this season. He believes he worked towards that.
“I believe that I grew my skills as a leader this year. On the field, I always want to make a positive impact, soccer-wise but also as a character. This is something I’m really happy about, but the job is not done yet,” said Grossmann.
The coaching staff of the men’s soccer team has also prepared Grossmann to have such a successful season.

“The entire coaching staff has a great impact on my performance. From the first day of preseason, I have felt their trust and belief in me and my abilities day in and day out. They always find the right words to push me past my limits,” said Grossmann.
Senior volleyball player Medelyn Wilds is ending her Trevecca career with 477 kills, 92 assists, and 49 block assists on the defensive end.
Wilds had a career game against Cedarville on November 2, where she had 19 kills, 24 points, and four aces. These were all season highs for Wilds.

Senior men’s cross-country runner Hamza Abo-Hashema had a strong start to the year by finishing 43 out of 118 runners with a run time of (16:13.9).
Abo-Hashema also had a great performance at the Louisville Country Classic on the 800m course.
He finished fourth out of 389 in the silver race with a time of (25:37.9).
Abo-Hashema finished his season off at the Midwest Regional Championship with a time of (26:28.7)
