Trevecca Theatre to stage “And Then They Came for Me” for limited run

Lauren Steibrook News and Engagement Editor Trevecca’s Theatre Department is performing, And Then They Came for Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank, for one weekend only.  And Then They Came for Me,is a multimedia production that blends live performance with filmed interviews from Holocaust survivors.  The show will be performed in Benson Auditorium, with evening performances scheduled for Jan. 22–25. Harmony wins Trojan Idol 2025: A photo recap

Parker Henningsen Chief of Photography Trevecca’s annual singing competition, Trojan Idol, returned with two nights of performances, new judges and a fresh lineup of talent. The event, was held on Nov. 18 and Nov. 20 in the Boone Convocation Center, allows audience members to vote contestants forward until one winner remains. Trevecca Theatre presents Disney’s Newsies opening Oct. 31

By Lauren Steinbrook News and Engagement Editor Trevecca’s Theatre Department will open its fall season Friday, with the high-energy musical Disney’s Newsies in Benson Auditorium.  The show will take place in Benson Auditorium in McClurkin. Redbird Common features emerging artists sharing their original songs. The lineup of artists includes Aaron Williams, Britt Nicole, Warren Peay and Holly Brand. A man stood under a tree with a weapon in his hand, ready to end his life. Instead of questioning him, Hambrick stopped to listen. Student’s hobby turns into creative wardrobe

As a kid, Corianna Chauncy remembers watching in awe as her friend, who lived with her family at the time, carefully crocheted rag rugs. Observing each stitch, Chauncy said she felt a spark of inspiration that led to her own unique crochet pieces.  "I wanted to be like her," said Chauncy, a senior creative writing major. "I was like, that's so cool, so I made the rugs."  Crocheting became more than just a hobby for Chauncy. It became a passion. After learning one stitch as a kid, her projects became more elaborate as she continued to teach herself through YouTube videos, but it was not until college her hobby became a form of self-expression. Trojan Idol returns tonight with all new contestants  

By Lauren Steinbrook Staff Writer The annual singing competition allows audience members to vote for contestants to move forward until there is one winner.  “We have a really great variety, which is kind of the intention behind Trojan Idol,” said Anna Gilbert, ASB director of student life. “We have a contestant who is a biology major, a marketing major, athletes, an RA—it’s just a great mix. It’s going to be a really good show. Professor sponsors social dance club on campus

Christian Rodriguez, president of the club, formed the Trevecca Social Dance Club, Trevecca's first social dance club.   “I wanted to set up something that people could come to, just show up and have some fun learning different stuff,” said Rodriguez. “I wasn’t sure what the response would be [to the club], but everyone I’ve talked to has all been super excited.
