10 Ideas for cheap things to do in Nashville with a student ID

Being a college student on a budget can be hard. Many students chose between essentials and entertainment.

That’s why we curated a list of 10 places that a Trevecca student ID opens the door to discounts around town.

Frist Art Museum — (919 Broadway, Nashville.)

The Frist Art Museum constantly presents exhibits in rotation. They offer 30% off to college students who bring ends that show their IDs. 

Tennessee State Museum(1000 Rosa L Parks Blvd, Nashville)

It is designed to bring pieces of history back to life and be able to show it to the next generations. A combination of experience and a museum rich with content. You can take a walk by the surroundings of the Museum. The national city museum offers free entry.

Centennial Art Center Gallery(301 25th Ave N, Nashville.)

The Gallery in the Centennial Art hosts six gallery shows annually from local and regional artists. The gallery is open and free to the public from Monday – Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum(222 5th Ave. S, Nashville.)

An opportunity to immerse yourself in a building full of the history of country music. Offering exhibitions relating to the music industry and unique events with new emerging artists.

Cheekwood Botanical Gardens — (1200 Forrest Park Drive, Nashville.)

It is a great experience. The gardens are a peaceful walk side through the tall and colorful trees. The gallery inside displays a variety of pieces. Cheekwood is a wonderful place to go during the winter break because of the show of lights displayed at night. The gallery offers a reduced amount if you bring your student ID.

AMC Theater(901 Bell Rd, Antioch.)

The AMC Theater offers a 25% discount to those who bring their student ID. You can now enjoy a girl’s night movie for a great budget.

Vanderbilt Fine Arts Gallery(1220 21st Ave S, Nashville.)  

A nice small gallery with a rotation of exhibits and some permanent pieces. This gallery in the Vanderbilt Campus is free to visitors.

Adventure Science Center(800 Fort Negley Blvd, Nashville.)  

Even though it may seem like it is a recreational place for kids to learn, it is also for all ages to visit. For a few extra bucks you can add the planetarium show to your visit. It is a place to take a step to your childhood years.

Belcourt Theater — (2102 Belcourt Ave, Nashville.)  

Belcourt Theater is a unique Nashville treasure, with a historic past and a deep historical bond with the community.  Dedicated to present documentaries, the best of independence and classic cinema.

The Upper Room Chapel and Christian Art Museum(1908 Grand Ave, Nashville.)  

Dedicated to support the spiritual life of Christians seeking to know and experience God more fully.  Entry is free for those interested in a worship session.  Their last Art Gallery exhibition was in December of 2019 called “The night of the child”.
