As part of the homecoming traditions, Trevecca will kick off homecoming weekend with a chapel service on Nov. 6.
“We believe in starting the weekend off in worship and gratitude to God for bringing us all together on the Hill is the best way to begin,” said Jennifer Showalter, engagement officer at Trevecca.
For decades, the homecoming traditions at Trevecca have been treasured traditions that bring alumni, students, staff, faculty, and families to “The Hill.” The weekend is filled with multi-day events that showcase the school’s heritage.
This year’s theme for the parade is “Friendship, the family you choose,” where students will showcase floats that embody the theme.
“Trevecca has a long history of friendship and relationships, and homecoming weekend is always a weekend where alumni come back together and celebrate the unity and family that Trevecca brought them,” said Charity Mugge, sophomore class president of SGA.
This is an opportunity for current Trevecca students and alumni to bond and celebrate Trevecca’s culture together.
“I see everybody’s been pouring their absolute heart and soul into homecoming. There’s been painstaking attention put into every little part of homecoming, from the flowers to the floats, and people have been planning for this for months now,” said Hannah Cooper, vice president of the student government association at Trevecca.
