Chance to see “Selma” for free tonight

by Zach Farnum Trevecca students on Thursday can go see "Selma", a movie about the voting rights march from Selma Montgomery, Ala, for free. Trevecca SGA will be sponsoring the trip so tickets are free with a SLAP card and regular cinema ticket price without. The movie will begin at 7:20 p.m. with two vans leaving from the Hub at 6:45 p.m. for Opry Mills Cinema. This event is part of Trevecca’s multicultural and diversity program as February is Black History Month. (more…)

Each year Trevecca students elect classmates to serve as their voice on campus.  Student government leaders plan events and communicate with the administration on the behalf of students.  The TrevEchoes has asked each member of the executive council some questions, including how you can contact them and what they think the most important issues are on campus. SGA hosts new winter retreat, ski retreat

For the first time in years, Trevecca students can go on a winter retreat. And the best part: SGA will pay for half of it. Students who haven’t had their fill of snow yet this year, can spend two days skiing at Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg, IN. (more…)

Who’s who: introducing the new executive student council

As the Trevecca student body, you have recently elected the students who will plan and execute your events; facilitate student campus communication; encourage community, service, and spiritual growth among students; set policy; and advocate to the Trevecca administration on your behalf for the 2010-2011 academic year. Trevecca to host leadership conference

By Shadaye Hunnicutt The top student leaders of all the Nazarene colleges will be on campus next month for an annual meeting. More than 100 visitors will spend the week of April 8th eating, hanging out and sharing rooms with Trevecca students as part of the Nazarene Student Leadership Conference. Since the first NSLC at Olivet Nazarene University in 1964, each group of executive student officers from the nine Nazarene universities come together for a leadership conference every spring. This year’s conference is April 8th - 11th, the theme will be ‘Amplify’. (more…)

SGA: Glow with the Flow is still a go

By Rachel Swann One of Trevecca’s most popular social events will not be canceled this year—it will just be different. Glow with the Flow, a night that included techno music, glow sticks and inflatable bounce games in the past, is still on the calendar. But this year students can expect the inflatables to be gone and new activities still in the works to take their place. Rest assured the spring night designed to help students celebrate the end of the school year will be glowing. (more…)
