Wondering what to recycle? A guide to campus recycling

By Sol Ayala Online Editor Students can find 10 recycling bins outside public spaces, in the library, resident halls, and specifically the big recycling bin behind Redford apartments are all available options for the Trevecca community. But, students say it’s hard to know what goes where and they’re not confident they’re doing it right. The bins don’t have instructions on them explaining what can be recycled and what can’t. “It’s also really unclear what you’re able to recycle,” said Katherine Carter, coordinator for Trevecca Urban Farm. “I think because people don’t see recycling being valued necessarily by the institution, they feel like it’s too much work, or is inconvenient, or even if they put in the effort, it’s not gonna mean anything.” While many put their items in t...

By Trevor West Contributor Photo by Alayna Simons, Editor-in-Chief After three years of feeling frustrated with his playing time on the men’s basketball team at Lee University, Jalen Page took a big risk for his last two years. Page, a junior guard, transferred to Trevecca in August and is averaging 20.3 points a game for the Trojans in his first season on the roster. “I needed a better opportunity to play basketball. I know the type of basketball player I am, and I know at the school I was at wasn’t going to happen. I know where I want to take my career, I want to play this game for a long time. I know that my best years are in front of me, not behind me,” Page said. Coach Kevin Carroll saw something in Page that caught his attention when he became active in the transfer...
