As graduation approaches for many undergraduate students, the Graduate School Fair on Tuesday, Feb. 25, will introduce Trevecca’s graduate programs as postgraduation options.

According to Trey Schruff, director of enrollment and strategic initiatives for the Office of Graduate and Adult Education, the fair provides an important opportunity for students to explore their options in a supportive and informative environment.

“The Graduate School Fair allows students to see firsthand how Trevecca’s graduate programs are designed to build on their undergraduate experience,” Schruff said. “Many students don’t realize how accessible graduate school can be or how closely our programs align with their career goals.”

The fair will feature representatives from multiple graduate programs, giving students the opportunity to ask questions about admission requirements, program formats, timelines and career outcomes.

Whether students are interested in education, counseling, leadership, business or ministry-related fields, the event is designed to help them make informed decisions about their next academic steps.

Schruff emphasized that graduate education is not just about earning another degree but about personal and professional growth.

“Graduate school helps students deepen their expertise, strengthen critical thinking skills and prepare for leadership roles in their chosen fields,” he explained. “It is an investment in both their future and their calling.”

The event also aims to address common concerns about graduate school, including affordability and balancing coursework with work and personal responsibilities. Representatives will be available to discuss flexible scheduling options, financial aid and support services available to graduate students.

For some students, the Graduate School Fair has already made a significant impact. Makayla Ritterbeck, who is now working as a graduate assistant, said attending the fair multiple times helped shape her academic journey.

“I attended the Graduate School Fair four times while I was an undergraduate,” Ritterbeck said. “Each time, I learned something new about the programs and opportunities available. It ultimately helped me choose my graduate path, and now I’m pursuing my MBA.”

Ritterbeck noted that the event gave her confidence in her decision and allowed her to connect directly with faculty and program representatives.

The Graduate School Fair will take place on February 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the second floor of Jernigan Student Center.  The event is open to all Trevecca undergraduate students and will offer free Chick-Fil-A to attendees.
