Trevecca introduces new student discount card

Being in college can be expensive and overwhelming, but with Trevecca’s new student discount card, students can get deals on everything from food and drinks to auto care. 

Available for purchase at the Student Life Desk on the 1st floor of Jernigan, the card aims to alleviate some expenses for all students on campus. 

Each card costs $15.

Students gain immediate access to discounts at a variety of restaurants, shops, and service facilities, such as Subway, Baja Burrito, Red Bicycle Cafe, and more.

“We really want to help bridge the gap in kind of introducing our students to different restaurants and activities and things to get involved in,” says Natalie Specht, director of student life and dean of students office. 

Around 130 cards have been sold to students across campus so far.

“If someone chooses to buy a student discount card, they will also be eligible to purchase the city tour series tickets for half off,” says Kenna Tatum, the student government president. 

Cardholders can receive special access to university-sponsored entertainment. Purchasing the card will unlock a 50% discount on any City Tour Series events. 

The City Tour Series is a set of events designed to get students off campus and experience Nashville’s culture at a discounted rate, including concerts, sporting events and food outings. 

“Rather than even some of our events trying to overlap with things to do that are happening in the city, let’s bring our students into doing those things around town,” says Specht. 

City Tour Series’ next events include local pumpkin patches in October and a Christmas activity later this year.
