The Lady Trojans (7-10) improved to 4-2 in the TranSouth by knocking off visiting Lyon College (10-7, 2-3), 75-66, Thursday night in the Moore Gymnasium. The Lady Trojans took a five point lead into halftime and extended that lead to 11 by starting the second half on a 9-3 run.
The Lady Trojans were solid on defense forcing 22 Lyon turnovers and converting them into 23 points. The Scots rallied midway through the second half to go up a point, 56-55. It was then, at the 6:30 mark, that the Lady Trojans bounced back, scoring 12 of the next 16 points and taking over the game completely.
Chelsey Taylor led the Lady Trojans with 14, with London Elie adding 13.
K.K. Hodges led the Scots with 21, with an added 20 by Lauren Ramsey.
