SGA is hosting a Christmas themed party for a second year in a row.

This year’s Christmas party will be themed around the Grinch, and will screen Dr. Suess’ “How The Grinch Stole Christmas.”

“Having a Christmas event is a tradition. Last year, we showed the movie Elf and did a themed event around the film, and we loved that type of event so we carried it over this year- to play the film and created a whole atmosphere to go along with it” said Laura Beth Winchester, senior social life director.

More than 200 people will be expected to attend the SGA event, created to let students relax before finals.

“It’s so close to finals week. We don’t need to do anything extravagant. This is a pretty laid back kind of way of bringing people in and giving them a break of finals” said Winchester.

Jernigan will be decorated with a Christmas theme along with Dr. Suess themed food and drinks.

This free event will showcase the movie on a ten foot LED screen in the cafeteria where most of the event will be held, and the cafeteria will provide hot chocolate and coffee.

Take a break from studying and enjoy the movie How The Grinch Stole Christmas this Saturday at 8pm in Jernigan.
